August 2014 marked the one hundredth year observance of the start of hostilities that lasted for four years and cost countless lives.

The “War to End All Wars” should never have happened. Mr. Hinkle will take the audience step by step through the twists and turns of three cousins, the Kaiser of Germany, the Czar of Russia, and the King of England as they slipped into the quagmire of political alliances dragging France, the United States and others into situations, much as the world is experiencing today.

John Hinkle dons the uniform of a World War One general as he tours the state during the next four years. John is no stranger to the state’s libraries and schools, with 30 years of library puppet shows and as an artist in residence storytelling in schools, plus a one man show depicting Governor “Alfalfa” Bill Murray during Oklahoma’s centennial.
